Our Instrumental Lessons
Lessons are 20 minutes and take place during the school day with the option of a
1-1 lesson or a shared 2-1 lesson*
Children play in a fun, relaxed and motivating environment where they learn
how to read music, dynamics, phrasing and instrument technique.
Young musicians are introduced to a variety of music to encourage and help them to enjoy their instrument and are also given a Merit Card where they can earn merits for their music and achieve our Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.
* shared lessons are not available for piano or strings.
Commitment
We ask children to practice for 10 minutes 4-5 times a week. Parents and teachers play a big part in this, encouraging, supporting and reminding child to practice. The best results are when practice becomes part of a daily routine. Children sometimes can be unwilling to practice but once they start they really enjoy themselves, there are many skills gained from playing a musical instrument include improved concentration and listening skills, the rewards are well worth the effort.
Lessons
Benefits to your school
We take responsibility for all administration to help take the weight off your office manager and their team. We organise lessons, payments directly with parents. We only ask for your school to receive a completed registration form from parents on signing up to play an instrument. All our tutors are motivating, reliable and experienced, we keep you updated with who is taking lessons and arrange our timetables to avoid key core subjects.
Improve Your SATs score
Numbers have shown that students who study music tend to do better on the SAT than students who do not. According to several research studies, music students, on average, scored about 31 points higher than average in reading, 23 points higher than average in math, and another 31 points higher than average in writing.
Assembly Demonstration
We offer a free musical instrument assembly demonstration to your school. For children interested in learning to play a musical we arrange an after school demonstration with parents where we allow children to try the instruments and provide information regarding lesson, costs and instruments.
